The Situation
Currently its fifth decade of practice, architects61 has extended its capability to be entirely responsible for a project, from design to documentation and overseeing construction. However, more often than not, they are seen as people overseeing the construction of buildings and serves that purpose only. Having engaged in challenging and complex projects, it is an architectural powerhouse that has shaped Singapore’s unique CBD skyline more than any other practice. And they are in hopes of bringing that across moving forward.
The Solution
Incorporating an artistic take on the company’s corporate disposition by adhering to structure but not appearing too traditional was the main design thought. A congruent principle of Form Follows Function, of which a61 too closely abides, is seen throughout the site. Each page is anchored with a full bleed masthead while communicating consecutive visual elements through an organic yet simple layout. Visuals are no longer compromised, instead they are projected majestically as how skyscrappers should be, elevated and dignified.
